Job Description:

A producer of specialty pharmaceutical products is currently seeking 2 System Verification Engineers in the Madison, WI area. These are 9-month CONTRACT assignments, with the possibility of extension. No per diem available.


  • Define and implement system and software verification testing of embedded microprocessor-based medical device products
  • Create test plans and protocols, execute tests and report test results, and collaborate with development engineers
  • All test activities shall be in accordance with established test processes, consistent with medical device development


  • BS Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent education and work experience
  • 2+ years experience in Design Verification
  • Experience with testing techniques and processes for embedded microprocessor-based medical device products
  • Familiarity with integration of testing with lifecycle management tools
  • Medical Device experience is very desirable

Electrical Hardware Engineer

Position: Electrical Hardware Engineer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 6 to 12 Months
Type: Onsite

Mandatory Skills
· Design efforts like understanding the platform architecture, end solution requirement, design schematics, work with PCB layout team to get PCB layout done, meeting Design Guidelines, DFM and DFT requirements, release of Gerber to the FAB house and working on any queries from FAB house.
· Design digital and/or analog circuits at the or board-level using industry-standard tools and techniques.
· Work with team on defining the boundary conditions for the board design, board assembly house to release the Bill Of Material on a timely manner.
· Performing the first boot, debug, validation & integrated system level testing as per the plan.
· Carrying out experiments for performance validation of the system and optimizing the performance.
· Performing any compliance testing required for the board/ system.
· Documenting the results.
· Knowledge on working with Environmental Chambers, EMI/EMC test setup.

Preferred Skills
· Knowledge on working with Environmental Chambers, EMI/EMC test setup.
· Ability to work with offshore teams in HW design.
· Co-ordinate activities for Firmware and Mechanical teams.

Electrical Engineer III

Job Title: Electrical Engineer III

Job Location: Minneapolis, MN, United States

RF Electrical Engineer position will work as part of a team to deliver products to the marketplace which contain wireless technologies. RF engineer responsible for taking input from the use cases, designing an antenna and verifying the RF system against those requirements.


• Provide technical input to product specification and requirement generation for wireless medical products.
• Coordinate and attend meetings to determine the correct specification for wireless performance and compliance.
• Create documentation for wireless specifications and compliance.
• Adhere to the quality system requirements through the product development process.
• RF design, Link budget, implementation, and release of wireless products
• Participate in DFMEA and risk assessment and risk mitigation for product development.
• Drive test environment definition as well as testing and troubleshooting of product to characterize the unit and system level RF performance
• Generate test plans and procedures to characterize the unit and system level RF performance.
• Coordinate product testing and report generation.
• Analyze report and track/troubleshoot RF performance bugs.
• Review internal and external wireless and system level specifications and determines compliance to specifications.
• A proactive approach towards problems and projects in addition to creativity and latitude is expected.
• Drive continuous improvement in product and process
• Pursue test automation where appropriate.
• Support transfer of products into manufacturing
• Troubleshooting and resolve EMI interference issues
• 4+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with Masters Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• Experience with Consumer Electronics product development.
• Experience in medical device product development
• Experience with the development of high reliability devices
• Experience working as a RF Engineer
• Experience with engineering statistical tools/methods such as DOE, Monte Carlo, Minitab
• Experience using and FMEA and FTA methods;
• Specify, direct and perform design characterization and verification of the RF system.
• Hands-on problem-solver.
• Proven capability to convert ideas into working designs, which are feasible, cost-effective, and manufacturability.
• Competence with EE simulation tools, such as HFSS.
• Design, develop, verify and maintain LabVIEW and C++ based software.
• Experience with RF technologies. (Bluetooth, MICS(Medical Implant Communication Service), Wifi, Cellular)
